Introduction to Basic Electronics Class Description: |
| The Miami Tech School Basic Electronics class starts off with a day of basic Electricity and Electronics, meter use, and component testing. This provides a solid foundation for the novice technician, and a great review for the experienced. That is followed by four days of intense exposure to all of today's latest diagnostic equipment. This exposure is in the form of practical solutions to typical problems seen in current electronically controlled transmissions. Students will gain the knowledge required to diagnose problems in the shop on their own using the latest meters, scanners, waveform viewers, scopes, computer interfaces, and more. |

Introduction to Allison 1000/2000 Class Description: |
| This week long class will cover tear down and assembly, theory of operation, on vehicle diagnosis and scan tool diagnostics. This will give the technician a better understanding of how this transmission operates to keep it out of the shop and on the road. |
